Congratulations Angels - 2017 Majors Champions!

In the winner take all Sonoma Little League Championship game, the Angels upset the regular season Champion Falcons to take the City Championship Title at Hughes Field. The Angels took an early 4-0 lead, but the Falcons battled back to even the game at 4-4. The score remained tied until the 5th inning when the Angels took advantage of 3 walks and 3 singles to break the game open and eventually hold on to a 9-5 victory. The Angels were led offensively by Sam Denkin and Luc Demartini who knocked out 3 hits apiece and got strong pitching from Finn Parker and Enzo Masciorini. The Falcons got 2 hits apiece from Jaden Vides (who hit his league leading 16th HR), Brett Armitage & Thomas Walsh in the loss. The Angels will go on to represent Sonoma Little League in the District 53 Tournament of Champions starting this week. Congratulations to both teams on an outstanding season and good luck to the Angels in TOC!


The SLL Tournament Champion Angels, directed by Manager Jason Masciorini and coaches Dave Stagnaro & Tim Borden are Jack Alley, Jack Borden, Connor Cooper, Luc Demartini, Sam Denkin, Cesar Evina, Cosimo Hanson, Enzo Masciorini, Jared Mellinger, Finn Parker, Rowan Parker & Sonny Smith.


The regular season Champion and tournament runner up Falcons, directed by Manager Johnny Armitage and coaches Jim Vides & Zach Lawrence are Brett Armitage, Vinny Girish, Oisin Heffernan, Spencer Jacobs, Grant Kiser, Eli Lawerence, Cody Morton, Dom Pucci, Lincoln Reiter, Jacob Schepp, Jaden Vides & Thomas Walsh.

TOC Update:
Angels 13   American Canyon 0
In the first game of District 53 TOC held in American Canyon, the Angels blanked American Canyon 13-0 behind a Luc Demartini one-hitter. The Angels banged out 9 hits, led by Finn Parker who had 3 hits including a double, HR and 5 RBI.

Angels 7   Suisun 2
In their 2nd game, the Angels got great pitching from Cosimo Hanson who tossed 5-1/3 innings of 2 hit ball striking out 8 to beat Suisun 7-2. The Angels knocked out 8 hits in the win including a pair from Enzo Masciorini and a 2 RBI double from Sam Denkin in the win.

Angels 0  Napa National 2
The Suisun win put the Angels in the semi-final game vs eventual District 53 Champion Napa National. In a classic pitchers duel in which each team only managed 4 hits and struck each other out 14 times, Napa National squeeked out a 2-0 victory to advance to (then win) the Championship Game. Finn Parker pitched outstanding in the loss going 5-1/3 innings and striking out 13 Napa hitters.
